Default The Christine Build

Hi to all. Decided to post the build here because the albums don't put the pictures in order. I'm a retired carpenter working as a cad designer for a local college and I am 60 years old. I got married last Nov 30 to Chris and decided to build her a 1/12 scale house which I designed. It is being built out of 1/2" (12mm) baltic birch plywood. I built a cnc router a few years back and will do all of the small maching on it (knewel posts, railings, stairs). Anyway... hope wou enjoy the pictures and the build.

Lighting is LED. Each room will have it's own dimmer control. I'll send a picture of the control box later tonight.

More pictures. Staircase is solid walnut. Can't stand the prebuilts due to the steep incline. Designed the door opening around the staircase to get the correct run and rise. I turned the knewel posts but can't seem to cut the balusters without them cracking off on the lathe so I found 1/16" aluminum tig rods for welding and will paint those white. I'll machine the top rail out of walnut. All wood flooring in the house is walnut 1/8" thick. When using LED's make sure you test them for + - connections. They will not light if the wiring is reversed like a standard tungsten light will. They are Light Emiiting DIODES which only allow current to flow in one direction.
