Question removing strips from exterior

I have just bought my first second hand dolls house, I have removed all the windows so I can give it a coat of paint and freshen it up but I am stuck at removing the white strips along the edges of the house (I think they are called quoin???)

I have tried a hairdryer on them which worked with one strip but the others seem really stuck on. They are damaged so will need removed.

Anyone got any tips?

Thank you

Have you tried hammering slowly and gently. Put a piece of cloth between the hammer and the wood so you will prevent from damaging the strips

I have Montgomery Hall and decided to redecorate and I removed the quoins by gently levering them off with a chisel

I would gently tap a paint scraper ( as it has a wide thin blade which will minimise damage) between the strip and the wall to which is attached, and very gently try and lever it off. I assume the dolls house is timber based, in which case its probably stuck with pva glue, maybe using small pins too, in any case the surface on which its stuck will come away with the strip ! Whatever condition you find the wall surface is left, it should be reparable with the filler of your choice, eg car body filler, Humbrol model filler etc
