Default Ideas for a downstairs loo?

Hi everyone. After some lengthy time out for numerous reasons I am now back into building a house for my granddaughter. As she is quite a clever little madam I would like to include a downstairs loo, possibly under the stairs, as she will not doubt ask where it is if I don't include one!

I seem to remember seeing photos of such a 'room' but can't find it now. Can anyone give me some inspiration please?!

There may also be inspiration for you on "Under the Stairs" post and Millies Bakery.

I put a little downstairs loo in my Lakeview dollshouse. Although it's not strictly under the stairs it's in a small place in the hall way. I just laid some strip wood on the floor and ceiling then put 'sliding doors' in to create the space. I bought a lovely modern loo and a mono bloc tap from elf miniatures and used a white ceramic bowl on a shelf for a hand basin.
You can see how I did it here: Kath's LakeView

Thanks Kath. Your idea looks great and very well executed. Well done! How did you sort out the runners for the sliding doors?

Thanks also to Mrs Moffat and Missupsanddowns for their replies - both very useful and have given me some ideas to work on.

Hi Kath. Another question if you don't mind - what size is the downstairs loo? I am looking at an area about 2.5" deep and don't think that will be enough.

If you get a modern one (like Kath's) it can attach against the back wall without needing to allow space for a tank, so 2.5" might be just about enough to allow a bit of leg-space between the front of the loo and the door

EDITED TO ADD: if you can find one (or model one from Fimo..?) a space-saver "corner" toilet might be a better option for you. I've never seen one for a Dolls House, but I don't see why a Dolls House shouldnt' benefit from one (http://www.firstbathrooms.co.uk/imag...ner_toilet.jpg).

I have made a small little room which only has a small sink and toilet. And the blue one is one of my favourite from one of our forum members by Sergio.

You can search in google just right dolls house toilet underneath stairs and you will get a bunch of pics. I also posted some pics.

Reg I think 2.5" was about the size of my little loo without going and measuring it....Like Teddy said the little wall mounted loo meant I didn't need a great deal of space and then of course there is 'artistic licence'
As far as the sliding door., I cheated I'm afraid and fixed them in position as I wanted everything to be seen as it were. Let us know how you get on
