Default Lightng socket extension

Hi all, I know I sound thick as a brick but this is driving me crazy.
I bought a DHE lighting kit. Usual strip plus 4 single and 4 triple socket extensions.

My question is where do I put the socket extensions? Are they placed like a plug socket is in a real house?

I understand about the limit of bulbs on transformer, it is literally where to place the extensions.

Thanks!

Hi there. Welcome to the forum. I think I understand your request it is that I have not seen triple extensions before so I did a bit of googling before replying

I have got some double sockets in my Montgomery Hall and yes, I use them just like a real house socket, to plug in table lamps etc. Try to place them where they are not so obvious. I took the wires through very small holes in the back wall to hide most of the wiring. I then made a wiring loom on the back of the house and soldered all the cables to it.

I found the little sticky pad on the back wasn't that good at holding them in place. I bought my own double sided sellotape and used that instead.
I hope this helps.
Looking forward to seeing your project.

Sue

Don't get too stressed Peapod, you are supposed to be enjoying this hobby

Take it slowly, think every move through before executing it. Think about where you want the lights and sockets before drilling any holes. This ultimately means knowing where and what the room will be finished as.

Good luck

Sue
