Georgian Banded/Rusticated Stucco

Hi. I am looking at building my first house, a Georgian townhouse. I rather fancied having plain banded stucco up to the top of the ground floor. This looks rather smart, with plain stucco and quoins on the floors above.

Has anyone attempted this before please? I was wondering if there were some mouldings or wood strips available that could be used for the bands.

Many thanks.

Ha ha. OK, I guess I will just stick on some strips of wood and paint over the top. I am probably overthinking this :-B

You never know, there could have been someone out there who had done it aome other way - it never hurts to ask

Thanks Teddy. I was feeling a bit foolish there...

Knew I had seen it somewhere. Dolls House Cottage Workshop sell wood strips specifically for this kind of cladding. I will give it a shot.

Well that certainly simplifies the task.

Cool

For a beginner like me, yes indeed. And these people are based about 5 miles from my house. Doh!
