Default In a rut!!!

Hi everyone,
Do you ever get so stuck in a rut with your dolls'house hobby?.....I have a few jobs to finish on my Brandy view (Mountfield) and I have all the materials I need to do the jobs....but I can't get myself to do them!.....and I'm bored too!!....this just doesn't make sense to me.....do any of you get like this?.......I need kick starting back into action I think.

Default hi michelle

i think we all get in a rut at times, ive only just put my skirtings on in my attic room and all the stuffs been in there a month lol i was one skirting short though so went to get some more today, dont push yourself to do it just do it when you want to, also if its job to finish maybe your putting it off because you dont want it to? i think ill be a bit sad when tipton is finished i have enjoyed doing it so much its ok to take your time the hobby will always be there

One of the jobs I need to do is skirtings, and I hate doing them.....maybe it's the fact I hate doing it that's stopping me? Lol
Also I keep looking at dolls'houses on ebay and DHE website, I am always getting other houses when I need to finish the ones I already have, and sometimes I get a new house and think "I wish I hadn't bought this now!"......I think this hobby is sending me mad! heehee

I've been like that for weeks now, i can't get the motivation to do anything. It doesn't help that im working on 6 projects all at the same time!

yer it could be its a job your not keen on. iam not to keen on skirting i had to cut funny angles today without the mitre box! its not the best work ive done lol but ill live with it, maybe you need a little break off ebay too lol have a week to yourself do other things you like have a coffee go into town, then come back to it in a week, with a clear mind to carry on again sometimes it does drive you a bit mad getting things for your house and wanting things you cant afford lol id say spend sometime on yourself i think your feel a little better then i think it can be daunting having lots to do your mind races

It drives me insane this hobby.....my daughter says I'm obsessed and need to stop spending all my spare cash on it......she does like my Brandy view and my Apple Tree Cottage, but says she doesn't know why I bought the Terry Pratchett cottage, I bought some Dolls from DHE and she and hubby just had to take the micky out of them , saying the man looked like a woman , cheek!

Yes it can be hard to pull yourself away from ebay and anywhere else you can get DH stuff!.......I have to put my laptop away for a week I think......but then I'll be wondering if I have any emails and it will be a good enough excuse to have a peek at DH things while I'm on it! Lol
