Hi all

Thank you very much for the replies (sorry about the delay in replying myself :-(
thanks for the tips about the satin paint will see if I have any in the garage if not will rade my Dad's (Dad's have everything you need :-).
It is held together with screws I removed some and it looks like it will go back togther OK so am going to strip it appart as this will make painting the doors and stairs a lot easier.

I will post some pics as I go :-)

Cheers

I use those tiny little tins of enamel paint from hobby/arts&crafts stores to paint doors as they now come in a satin and a matt finish aswell as the original gloss. They only cost just over a pound. Lovely house btw!

Hi Wilo,

Welcome to the forum, I wouldn't use ordinary household gloss on dolls houses...it just doesn't work.....humbrol paints may work better as they are more suited to modeling....

For the windows you can get wood filler in tubes....I use cuprinol wood filler...it comes in various shades ...Dark, Medium and Light, as well as different finishes....Fine, Medium and Course.... I go for the light / fine finish.... and the best thing is when it's dry it can be sanded down and painted or stained to match any existing paintwork or stain....
