Default Help me find the right choice

I want to build my daughter a dollhouse for Christmas but I want to enjoy the building party part too. I am a very experienced woodworker and want a challenge but I wanna make sure I can finish it in time

Hi and welcome! Do you know what style/era your daughter would like? I don't know much about woodwork I'm afraid, more into wood carving, but I'd probably start by deciding on a style/era. I'm currently creating my first dolls house, a Tudor propety, using one of the kits but with he addition of 'weathering' the beams with a knife and applying real brick slips and then mortar, etc. to enhance he property. My blog (link in the signature) talks about the thought process I went through in terms of what to do in which order and which method to use, however there is lots and lots of fantastic info on here so worth a good read.
