i think if you put into the room any furniture of similar size you can judge if its big enough. a bathroom in most houses will be small since it only has to fit a bath toilet and sink in it. for me the living room should comfortably fit a coffee table, 3 piece suite and a display unit with a tv on the wall or sitting on a separate unit and still have a reasonable space to walk between the furniture. often the rooms look far too cramped in my opinion
