hi i have always had a fascination with castles and at the moment going to all the castles in wales. i recently went to beeston castle in cheshire near where i live and there are some lovely houses in the village, li will take some pics as they are i think are mid 16th and 17th century. i'd love to go inside them i love things like that. would be great to see dollhouses like that.

Hi I found this link for anyone who is interested. You were quite right Dm/Kath he does display there. But not all the rooms on the link were there. As said I was expecting a house with the frontage open to see all the rooms. Silly me

Hi there. I think that there is an exhibition of miniatures in the grounds, at least there was when I was last there, in a round building next to the shop by the house. I don't remember much about the miniatures, I had my cousins 2 toddlers with me and couldn't take a good look. The kids were more interested in the ducks, the shop, and ice cream than miniatures. Meant to go back to have a look but not done it yet...

Those pictures are lovely, Hever Castle looks like an other good place to visit,,,,,what a shame I live too far away.

You are so lucky to have gone to Hever, it is one of my favourite places to visit. Went to my very favourite place Hampton Court yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it, no DH there though I'm afraid
