I didn't know there is one at Hever Castle..... but I won't get there.
At Wimpole Hall in the ticket office there is a large modle of the hall...... I think that It has come from Maple Street which is very close by. The only problem is that it is where everyone queues for the tickets. Last edited by cinderella; 31-03-2009 at 07:28 PM. |

Have been to see it twice, once when I was little and too young to appreciate it and again about 6-7 years ago when I wasn't really into dollshouses but I did appreciate the detail and work. Although I must admit that when I first saw dollshouses in the shops I didn't realise the amount of time and effort that goes into them before you start putting the furniture in and adding the finishing touches but I must admit I am enjoying it far more than I thought.

I went to see Queen Mary's Dolls House some years ago, and although it was wonderful, had a job spending enough time in front of it, due to the amount of people also wanting to view!
The best Dolls House I have ever seen is in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, I first saw that when I was 16 and spent all afternoon in front of it...I saw it again a couple of years ago, but didn't spend quite so long viewing it that time! |
