Default 12th scale cross stitch

I'm going to try and tackle a 12th scale cross stitch kit today - eek! It looks insanely difficult! I've got a magnifyer for it.

I've got one as well and I'm trying to steel myself up to actually start it but it is sooooooo small, it's almost intimidating!!

I know what you mean! I've done normal cross-stich before and that's easy, but apparantly in 12th scale 1 tiny hole counts as 1 square so I can't really get my head round how it will work without all the rows overlapping. I got a bit carried away and bought 3 different kits too! I should have bought 1 to see if I could do it.

Hi I have done this and found it does depend on what size Aida you use.
It really is best to use evenweave but you require two magnifiers ( leastwise I do )
But the results are worth it. Carpets can be made this way too.
Good luck

Argh, I hate it! I am good at sewing but I can't do it. The squares are too small, even with magnification. Took me 1 hour to do 6 stitches and I don't even think they're right. The border had no need to be so curly with 2 slightly different shades of green....can't belive I've got 3 kits

I only do normal cross stitch and find that fiddly enough, good luck with it
Keep trying, you can only improve.
