Have you put beads on the ends? All my small needles are double ended...and have been lost after being borrowed for something else.

dawnie, I am not an experienced big knitter but I found miniature knitting only a little harder because of tension (both in the knitting and the knitter!) If you do something like a blanket on 2mm needles (size 14)with Appletons 2 ply or equivalent you can still get a nice result and it eases you into the really tiny stuff.

With little knitting I really have to concentrate because it is hard to fix mistakes, especially on lacy patterns and is easier to just start again if it is something little like a bonnet.

Little crochet on sewing machine cotton was easier for me.

Your stuff is absolutely incredible, christyrich and I'd love to see your teacosy, jean.

I'll have to give it a go, starting with a blanket seems like a good idea. You never know how it's gonna go till you try. It can't be much harder than the wool I'm using at the moment. It's a fashion chunky wool that has fluffy bit's, you can't see what you're doing. Can you get the needles at a normal haberdashery or do I need to go to a specialist store. I saw a pair of doll's booties in a musuem that had been knitted using sewing needles. Even my Mum winced and she's been knitting since she was five. Your little dress looks so neat Chrystyrich. Have you tried your local library to see if they have any dh books with patterns in.

chrystyrich, I just looked at the things you made and they are fabulous. Do you ever sell on ebay or etsy? I especially love the knitted outfits.
