I am new to this hobby, I have bought a dolls house but dont know what scale it is, please can someone help. The rooms are 25cm high, 28cm wide and 26cm deep.
I want to make sure I know what scale to aim for before I start to renovate and furnish it.
It was an absolute bargin at £18 in a car boot sale!!

Hi! If it was 1/12 scale, it would make each room 12' high, which might be ok for Victorian house, but a bit high for anything else. If it was 1/10 scale (not often seen, but they do exist), your room would be 10' high - more like modern rooms. It's certainly not 1/16 scale (traditional child's dolls house scale) - your rooms would be massive! Seems you've got a choice, and make it what you'd like, providing it doesn't have any other features,. such as a fireplace, already installed. Enjoy whatever you decide on.

Have you measured the doorway-if it is the same size as Emporium doors then you will know for sure you have a 12th scale house. I had the same problem once and when I called the Emporium for help that is what they suggested-and it really works!

Thank you both for the advice.
What size were you Emporium house doors?

My DHE house has a front door approx six and a half inches high, which would make it 6' 6" high in real scale. Hope that helps!
