hi im katie-lily i would like to say hello to everyone im new to this group, i was trying to find out which manufacterer makes the fairbanks dollshouse ,im trying to locate a front door to replace my broken one can anyone help,i would be grateful for any info:)

Hi KL welcome as the others have said the DHE are very good and helpful. Not sure why they could not help you before. I am assuming you did originally buy it from them and not from say EBAY. But even then I would think you could buy a replacement from DHE.

I looked at the luytens door as it looks so like the fair bank one... but I'm sure my dolls house shop had a door like it onsale so knew they where out there somewhere.

hi thank you everyone, i had a reply from DHE and in sept they are bringing out a new house which has the same door so they said i will probably be able to get one then, heres hoping i will keep looking on ebay tho and see if i can get one there if its not pricey, im glad i found this site tho as im trying to do up an old house too :) so may be i could get some tips and advise

hi yes i will post some pics, i need to learn how to put them on here tho i also have the beeches dolls house,pembroke grange, and a big huge 20 yr old house that im attempting to do up which i think may be a favourite of mine i like it as its got 3 floors and loads of rooms and in particular the front peice you can put furniture in front of the windows as well as in the rooms,if you get what i mean,my only problem is my 5 yr old son loves playing with them i shouldnt let him as things do get broken he rearranges all the furniture and its a right old mess when hes finished! but i have a good time late at night tyding up again ,i really need to get him his own house, i also have 2 in the loft which i should sell but i dont like to part with them,i need an extention i think:)
