Hi there,
I'm new to the forum so i thought i would stop by and say hi! My name is Kim and im 25 yrs old. I planned and built my first handmade dolls house from scratch when i was 17 and unfortunately had to get rid of it when we moved house.
Ive recently started looking into the hobby again and become addicted yet again and this time am thinking of creating a tudor house. Im going to be a bit ambitious though and am planning on making the house and all the furnature!! Just need to get all the stuff together plus my thoughts and away i go!!
Love the forum, i wish this function was available when i built my last one!!

Your plans sound exciting how big is your new house going to be, your very brave to attemp it, it is hard, as my hubby is going to make me a house with in the year, i still have a few on the go at moment so dont need it until then X

Hi again, thanks for all the welcomes!!
Well luckily i kept all the furnature and accessories and have them all packed up in a box in the attic ready for an even better house when i get a place of my own and the time and space!! But yes i did give the old house away to a friend in work who had room for it and they have started collecting to fill the many rooms!!
I'm still in the planning stages of the new one at the moment. I want to research it so its historically correct in style and layout etc and then get started with some plans. Will take forever but its going to be an ongoing project. Ive also just discovered the wonderful world of Fimo! its amazing! have ordered Angie Scarr's book and will be getting into making some readyfor my tudor feasts! the tables will be heaving by the looks of it!! :-)

Hullo Kimbo,
your house looks lovely. How nice that someone else is putting it all together again.
Wombat's just made some lovely food for her son's fish restaurant. (The lobster looked very tasty). Good luck with your Fimo cooking.

Yeah i liked the ceilings, i discovered the joys of embossed paper but tried to find one that looked like a ceiling pattern and not just a random one. All the wall papers in the house were life sized ones i found in Hypervalue! No real dolls house papers in sight im afraid!! :)

Hi Kimbo
You certainly chose your papers well - I would never have guessed they were life size.

hi there, The ceilings were just covered with embossed paper but i tried to choose the pattern so it was similar to a real ceiling. The brick effect on the chimney breat as just literally a thin layer of polyfiller scored with a knife to give the brick effect. I also did this on the front doors. :D
Thank you all for the welcomes and glad you liked the house!
