When making your own dolls clothes, try using old fabrics, they are always softer than new fabrics, so will drape more easily and look more realistic. There are a few companies specialising in tiny fasteners and buttons, my favourite is 'Duttons for Buttons' and they have an excellent website.

Another great website, if you want to make your own miniature clothing and accessories is http://www.littletrimmings.com they stock loads of different materials and fabrics including lace and other small items suitable for 1 12th scale.

I use these on a regular basis and the service is very good, you can order online, but you have to send payment seperately. I can well recommend them :) :) :)
