Hey,
I've just signed up to the forum.
I have had a dolls house for a while now and have taken breaks from doing stuff to it but i have just bought another and have got back into doing it and want to commit more time to getting it finished before i start on the second one...which i discovered is a seconds one and doesnt entirely fit together very well so will take more time to deal with!
ok so im going to crack on with finishing my beautiful victorian house

i need help though with what sort of colour scheme and wall finishings were in each room?

i had a bag of off cuts from this new house i have bought and have used them towards finishing my first house but i have had enough to do 3 walls and not the wall that opens as the door... would you guys recommend that i also do this wall to continue the room? i am thinking so but this thenmeans that i need to try to find the same paper that i have already cut or find a whole new roll of paper which led me to think hang on a min.. would this be what they originally had in the houses back then?

so i need a bit of help!

:)

Hi Dali

http://th136.photobucket.com/albums/q168/phoenixhazel/Welcome%20tags/th_welcome_BreePSP_Bak08_jeannie-vi.gif (http://media.photobucket.com/image/welcome%20sparkle/phoenixhazel/Welcome%20tags/welcome_BreePSP_Bak08_jeannie-vi.gif?o=16) to the forum, you will find lots of useful hints, tips and advise on here plus the added bonus of lots of fun and laughter too we are a friendly bunch and like to help one another, I would suggest you take a look at Davidsmums Hambleton Hall this is being done beautifully in the Victorian era and she has quite a bit of knowledge of this period as to the fourth wall some of use just paint it, some of us paper it and some even stick furniture on it, so it really is up to you what you decide to do with that wall

Hiya Dali

Welcome to the forums, I am sure someone will be along soon who knows more about the Victorian era and can answer your questions but it’s a matter of taste whether you paper the door or just paint it.
