Hi everyone!

I'm Becky and I've just joined you.

Today I went to visit my parents and picked up my old dolls house, which was built by my Dad in 1985 and for the past goodness knows how many years has been sitting in my parents garage as my Mum couldn't bear to get rid of it.

It's now sitting in my work room at home, and is going to be my renovation project, and it REALLY needs renovating, it's in such a sorry state!

It was strange opening it up and seeing all the pieces of furniture and the dolls I used to play with as a child, all still in the house but strewn all over the place!

I'm so excited about it but I don't really know where to start. My Mum told me that the house originally came from the Dolls House Emporium, so I searched for that, and here I am! My dolls house is a classical one, which looks kind of like the one on the site.. with a little imagination!

I look forward to chatting to you!

Becky :-) x

Hi there, thanks for the welcome!

I really don't know! At the moment it is, well a total mess, but I can see that it used to be a definite um.. 'mixture' of styles!

I can't wait to look through all the picture threads for some inspiration - I really don't know where to start with it!

My Mum told me that she has been meaning to renovate it for years, but has never got around to it, so she's really pleased that I've taken it back! (I'm sure I must have been too young to appreciate it the first time around!)

Oh good, I've taken pics already! I wanted to take some pictures exactly how it was before anything was moved!

Should I start a thread in the gallery forum for them? :D

Hi M Spark warm welcome to you. Oh what a lovely thing to be able to travel back to your childhood, and be able to "play" with your old toys once again.
We have kept most of our two daughters "old toys" but they never were lucky enough to have DH's.
Look forward to your progress.
