Hi I visited Hever Castle yesterday. Was expecting to see a dolls house but none there.
There are a few Tudor houses (real) in the grounds which are lovely to see but not enter and we had a good day.
But just in case anyone was going to make a special visit expecting a dolls house.

Hi Carol

That looks lovely! Shame about the dolls house. I thought they had one there too. Didn't John Hodgson display there?

Hi A /DM Nope we asked one of the "assistants" in the Castle and she had been there quite a few years but she could not remember any. There are sorta a couple of buildings with a few rooms showing but not one particular house/ just about 3/4 rooms in seperate cases.
I expected a full house with front opening.

Hi Carol

Maybe that's all there ever was then. I love the pics, especially the hall. Thanks for that.

I think that is the John Hodgson dollshouse - I recognize it from a picture in a dollshouse reference book - 'Making Miniature Interiors' or something...
Glad you had a good day. :)

Hi I found this link for anyone who is interested. You were quite right Dm/Kath he does display there. But not all the rooms on the link were there. As said I was expecting a house with the frontage open to see all the rooms. Silly me :o

Hi there. I think that there is an exhibition of miniatures in the grounds, at least there was when I was last there, in a round building next to the shop by the house. I don't remember much about the miniatures, I had my cousins 2 toddlers with me and couldn't take a good look:D:mad::p. The kids were more interested in the ducks, the shop, and ice cream than miniatures. Meant to go back to have a look but not done it yet...

You are so lucky to have gone to Hever, it is one of my favourite places to visit. Went to my very favourite place Hampton Court yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it, no DH there though I'm afraid
