We are frequently asked to produce a smaller version of our popular Fairbanks house, but in order to make the design functional, we may need to have a house which opens on three sides, we would like feedback from collectors about whether this feature would take up too much space in your home, or would you welcome a smaller Fairbanks in any form?

I am happy with Fairbanks as it is but mainly due to my disabilities, we have built a cupboard for it to stand on and placing it across a corner of the room limits the space it takes up and allows rotation to work on it too.

I would definately like to see a smaller 1930's style house, as , like most people space is an issue. It would be good if it could still include some sort of garden space.

I like the fact that Fairbanks opens up in places other than just the front, it adds more interest and also makes it more realistic as a house.

i`d love to see a smaller fairbanks as ive had the normal fairbanks but due to the amount of space it needed to be able to turn it, reluctantly ive sold it. i would still like to see a garden but maybe you could put it to the side of the kitchen area and have the main opening with magnets to get inside on that side, so we can still put things in the garden which we aint got to move to open the main pannel. and have a flat back if possible. and with that put side windows on the other side to make up for no windows on the back.
i cant see how you could go smaller as the rooms in fairbanks is just the right size as they are, the only problem i had was the kitchen there wasnt enough wall space to put fitted units in if i wanted to due to too many doors in there.i would have been happy to loose the back door and have french windows there so i could add a canservatry at a later date. also if you redesign it , it would have been nice to have a door on the landing to go to the bathroom instead of goin through the mums room.
i`ll look forward to see what you design and the size.
oh ive just got lake view and i cant wait to get started but im banned from touching it :( till xmas day :p ive got many ideas to extend with a garden and a lake:rolleyes:
i think your houses are great quality and wouldnt buy else where .

I have just read somewhere on her that a lady heard there was going to be a smaller Fairbanks, is this true?

I have Fairbanks and it is nearly done and I love it to bit's and have loved that house from the day I seen it about 10 years ago, if we do get a smaller one it will look like my house and if it does, guess what I have been told I am getting for Christmas, I know I have no space under the bed left, but I will have an extension soon, well it should of been started next Monday only the council lost the plans at the last stage and they did not know till we rang them and asked the what the hold up was, now we have had to send them copies and they have to send someone out again cos they have not put on the computer what every it was they should of done, never going to get to see those sexy builders in their little tight tee shirts as it will be winter now before they make a start.

Hands off, he's my builder.

Martin was going to move the shed and plants and all the junk at the side of the house but after seeing the new builder I would rather pay this fella, will have to pray very hard for some sun so he can take his top off. Yum yum.

I have been half way around the North West to day looking for the mag with the picture in and can't find it, I will just have to wait till next Monday for the new book to drop through my letter box. I will try not to explode by then.
