Can anyone help please.......I am looking for keystones to go over my windows but can’t find any measurements on any of the sites...............does anyone have a keystone on their property they could measure for me? For the amount of windows I have it could work out expensive to buy but may be able to make some myself if I knew the dimensions! Of cause it may work out they are too deep and mess up my idea but worth a shot lol

hee hee glad it was sorta right no i dont have one, tell you who is most helpful if you need to know now! is Jennifers of Walsall they could perhaps measure it up for you, you could always say your looking into it for your house, cos know you want to try your own, you have lots of windows too dont you. what about Bromley Crafts havent they got measurements. Will have a look around for you.

Hi Val,
I haven't got any of theses either......but as Chris says.....you could phone a retailer up nad they will measure for you......Tierney's did this for me ....when I was looking for a shop front for Wedding Wishes.....it was too big for my needs ...in the end..... but they were more than happy to measure it for me over the phone.....:D

Hiya Mom
I sent an email to the only site I have found so far and they have replied but their ones are 7.5 on the inside arch and I need 10.5..............they also gave me the depth of the keystone and other stones which tells me I can’t do my idea as I don’t have the depth needed above several of the windows and cutting them would be really difficult ggrrrr.....me re-thinking here!!
I have done a demo with bricks arched over the windows, not 100% happy with it and it will be difficult doing the horizontal bricks butting up to them, would be easier to butt the horizontal bricks straight to the window frame to be honest! But still playing and looking at all the options I can find lol

Hi Val had an idea what about doing cardboard ones, the shape you want and then covering them in that stone paint stuff you could have them plain then.

Chris and Vicky,
I made my own out of card yesterday afternoon to see what that looked like once I got the measurements but it’s too much making it all look too fussy especially with the windows being so high on the top front door! So just going to horizontal brick it as it is now! Thanks for everyone’s help though, we have to look at all options and ideas before we are sure we are happy, well I do! lol

Morning St Vale,
Re your keystones - I don't know if this is of any use to you but you might be able to take the idea and tweak it to suit! If you go to Jackierussell's thread - Flagstones - again! - I posted a pic of my Tea Rooms basement showing her the flagstones but it also shows the finish round the arched windows. I used buckshee brick slips cut in half and painted white to pick out the arch. You might be able to develop that idea for your own use.
