Hello everyone
My parents bought me the Priory Dolls House for my 13th Birthday. Now looking back, i guess i was too young for it.
My problem is, we put the house together but left the doors off and i havent really done anything to it since. I am now 22
I would love to fix the house up but i now realise that i should have put wallpaper e.t.c on before we put the house together because i'm thinking its going to be hard fixing it up now, just because of my stupidity as a child.
Does anyone have any advice? I would really appreciate any help
Thankyou :)

Hi Sugar Kane, love your name by the way. And warm welcome to this forum to you. As for wallpapering dont despair, i always decorated my houses once they are up, just cut the wallpaper to size and paste on, if your using proper dolls house wallpaper it wont stretch so you should be fine, also paint the ceilings first and you add the skirting etc at the end anyway, as for lighting that goes through to the floor below so dont stick anything down on floor, you will have to make a groove for lighting in the floor above the room you want the lights and walllights just go out the back anyway, hope that helps, and i must say that house you have is a lovely house good job you kept it then ha ha

Thanks for the compliment :)
Thankyou so much for replying, Even though i really want to fix the house up I panick because i'm not very good at anything like this. I love the Priory, and have been told you can no longer get it anywhere.
Is it hard to put lighting in? I'm quite scared to put lighting in as i wouldnt know where to begin lol

Hi Sugar Kane,
Welcome to the forum! You can certainly save your house! Best to wallpaper after its built anyway in my opinion. Like Chris said, there is lighting master class videos on the main DHE website, also ones for decorating and such. Watch those first, and we're all here to help! Theres loads of info and assistance in between all the idle chatter!:) Lighting the house is really easy once you know how, I'd never done it before and I did fine-13 rooms all lit!

Hi Sugar Kane
Welcome to the forum! Don't despair it's perfectly OK to paper after the house is built. If you do your ceilings first as WM suggested then wallpaper (or if you are having some form of lighting there you can lead it down and along where the skirting boards would be and out the back wall). You can cut your paper a bit shorter than the height of the room and again a bit shorter at the bottom as these areas will be covered by coving and skirting. It makes it easier to fit. Do the left and right hand walls first and take a little bit over onto the back wall. You can then measure your back piece to fit exactly - matching any pattern - and that will mean no joins. Good luck with it.
