I would like to put a ceiling rose into some of my rooms. Are they easy to fit? Do you have to drill a little hole for the lighting wire to go through? Would I be better to use ceiling paper? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

hi jean
im also goin to be putting celing roses up...you can buy some with the holes already drilled (think i`ll be buying that way) im not sure if you drill yourself it might break depending on thickness.. ive gave up on painting my celings i perfer to paper them and there`s some nice papers out there what the celing roses would look lovely on..i would surgest hot glue to put them up with as it sticks in seconds as pva you will have to hold for a while as i think there a little bit heavey. hope that helps :)

Hi all,
Got some of these ceiling roses too, if you use a high speed dril with a fine tungsten tip, that should do, however my hubby drilled them, if I was doing it, I may just play safe and buy them pre drilled.

Thanks M.O.M and Sharen for your advice. I have now seen some pre-drilled ones so I think I will play safe with those. I think the pictures from both of you are fantastic. I just hope mine looks half as good when it is finished.

Hi jeanmtweddle,
Glad to be of help, I haven't put them in yet, still got to get some more lights, so mine is nowhere near finished yet and I agree, sharen's are so very, very good. I am sure yours will look equally as good too.
