Hi,
It's my daughters birthday coming up and she wants a dolls house emporium house. The thing is I'm not really sure which one would be suitable for her. She's 10 years old and I'm a bit curious as to wether a collectors house or a junior house would be better for her. I do think that she would be interested in collecting dolls house items though. Do you have any suggestions?Thank you,
Mary :)

hi mary.
i would say that if you think your daughter would be interested in collecting then go for a collectors house. i would suggest springwood cottage or fern villa because i think that they are great houses for first-time buyers. i've just bought springwood cottage and it was really easy to build and is a perfect size. let us know what you decide!

hi mary
my daughters also 10yrs old and i know she`s responsable to look after a collectors house i did get her a junior house but she said it was to babyish for her:o

with a collectors house it can be somethink she can keep with her through her yrs :)
there is some lovely houses in DHE depending on what price range you wish to go upto......i`d let your daughter sit and look at the houses to give you an idea of which 1 she would like...you could make it as a game or somthink so she wont know what house she will get, even if she dont knows she is gettin one
all the houses are very easy to put together and im sure it would give her lots of pleasure as yrs go by.......the classical and wentworth are good houses there nice size to keep you going for a long time there the 1`s my daughter likes :)...but as ive said its to the price you want to pay.

good luck please keep us informed how you get on :)

Hi mary-b- 2008,

Completely agree with sharen, my neighbours daughter has had adolls house from when she was a smilar age........and as long as you feel your daughter is responsible enough, as I'm sure she is and would treat it as it's meant to be treated, then I would go for the "next step up", and skip on the ones for the children........I have Fern Villa ..............you could put it together blindfolded, it's SO easy...........and I'm blonde LOL :D Let us know what you decide.......
