Hi laura,

You have to register first.......... but, that bit's easy and is free............If you want to start buying only.......I think you can still buy, without having a Pay Pal account.............PayPal, is an account that you can set up, through e-bay........in order for you to pay for your item/s .......do this, securely following the onscreen prompts, it is easy........but can take some time for it the process to be fully complete............You can register without a Pay Pal account and still buy, you just send a cheque or postal order if the seller accepts them........ a lot won't .......I do........however if you want to start selling, due to the changes on ebay......you have to have a Pay Pal acount........or the item you are selling, won't receive priorty in the listings................but is e-bay, a great deal of fun.......I love it.......

Hi Laura, Buying is no problem on EBay as mom says. I have brought quite a few items and so far have been fine. Again as mom says you have to open a Paypal account again is quite simple. That account is supposed to be a safeguard for both you and seller as no money is exchanged between buyer/seller has to go through paypal. Although there are a few buyers that do prefer cheques/PO's.
Onw word of advice is you are looking for an item that is quite common say dolls house bathroom it is adviseable to check them all out as same item does vary pricewise. Also I have found that people bid for an item and actually pay more than i one of the EBay shops.
So my advice would be do your homework, and have fun, either buying or selling.

Hello Lauraashley,

I'm back and o.k.

I get alot of my things on ebay you just have to much things cost and know when to stop bidding, you can get carried away, watch the postage as well as some charge a lot. I have the DHE book by the computer at all times, most things on ebay are cheaper than in the book. Don't get any carpets or wall paper they work out more. Always use the book as a guide.

Hi laura,

Some very good points to remember from amchoor and coodencat, especially the "getting" carried away bit........put your highest bid in, that you are prepared to pay for this item, having compared the prices.......and STICK TO IT.........there will always be another item similar or the same.............

To look at how much items are being sold for.......click on the "advanced search" lettering at the top of the ebay window (usually its at the side of the bit where you type in what you want to search for in smaller print).......a new window will pop up.........type the item, that you are looking for, in the search box and click the completed listings box, press search..........this will then come up with ALL the items within the search catogory you asked for............and the price they sold for.........green means they sold ........red means they didn't........this way you wont pay over the odds, and you will see what other people have paid in order to win the item.......it will give you an idea of how much to bid up to..........Hope this helps.......:D

And for those having to wait a whole 1 day more it is 38 sleeps.

Hi Davidsmum, Lauraashley, Danc enut,

Thank you for your comments........two have gone already.....

They are sewn together.........then depending on what the trim is, how fiddly........either sewn or glued................but, the make up is ALWAYS sewn........other than a tiny amount used to seal the material........the blue & lilac one have no glue on at all........well, except for the bow on the blue one and the flower on the lilac one........ :)

Hi Davidsmum,

Thank you.......I hope it continues........I'm hopefully going to have a go at making some wedding dresses.........but if I do, I won't want to sell them ......I'll want to keep them for my bridal shop........when I get around to it........;)

Hi Mom I have been attempting to make a victorian walking dress but have ground to a halt until I find suitable trimmings from local habby on Monday or off website.
The dresses are all "glued" to the dolls (noticed that on dolls have got) so have will have to cut out patterns slightly larger to allow for a seam to attach skirt to bodice and not glue to doll. If you understand.
Just thought would mention it. Also is much more fiddly that bedding I think.

Hi Carol,

I'm going to sew mine up.......may have to do it by hand.....but yes, I'll cut a little bigger than the pattern states, to allow for this.........as I say when I get around to it............I want to get some dolls from the NEC....so I can do this......... for my bridal project.......
