Default A question for our American members....

Can anyone tell me - what is gator board?

I've seen it mentioned a few times in various places but have no idea what it is or what it's English equivalent might be and also, what is it good for?

Thanks.

Hello Carol,

Hahaha! No, thanks for checking though. I've seen it online and in mags used in mini building, walls and the like but have no idea of any UK comparison.

Sorry, I should have said earlier - what is it good for in the mini world?

Thanks for that. It tells me exactly what I wanted to know. I think I'll stick with foamboard!! This was an interesting read (one of the links on your link): Rik Pierce Class - Day 1

Gatorboard would appear to be a bit too heavy duty for what I'm after and I don't have the power tools to cut it with anyway. Still, it cleared up the question - thanks again!

Hi Carole,

That's OK, I thought you were - I'm not a water enthusiast! Not many gators up here to deal with anyway -
