Default Need help with lighting please

I am in the process of getting the lighting ready for Maple Leaf House and am a bit stuck.
I want to add a ceiling light in the hallway but am unsure how to get the wire to the back wall?
So if i make a hole for the wire to come from the ceiling below to the floor above, then how do i get the wire to the back wall without it showing on the landing/stairs? Have added a pic of how the landing looks.
This probably doesn't make any sense, sorry but i can't really explain very well.

A good point, I do understand what you mean. Can you run the wire across the landing to the bottom of the first step of the stair, then drill a smallhole for the wire to pass through to the back of the staircase. Once there you can hide the wire against the next floor back ceiling and out through the back of the house. Having read this back, it may make less sense than your question.

I sort of get what you mean, i still think it will show but i really can't see another way to do it. I hate the landings in this house!
Thanks for the suggestion i think i will have to go along those lines

Maybe I haven't got the gist of what your problem is... but how about adding wall lights in landings instead?

Trixie- i got a nice ceiling light so wanted to make use of it. I also think as the hallway is so small a hanging light would look best.

If it were me LC, I would cut the channel across the hall at the place where you want the light below, continue going into a room beside the hall and run the cable to the back under one of the side room floorings! Hope that makes sense!

Glad you got it in the end, sometimes it's difficult to explain things!
