Default Wartime Mountfield

Sorry, I posted this in the wrong place on the forum - can't work out how to delete it. Sorry, I'm new!

Your mountfield looks great, what have you used for the red bricks?? It doesn't look like ordinary brick paper

Hi Horsetoffees - great name, by the way!

I got the brick paper from here:

Textured Brick Sheet - Flemish red: Dolls House Parade

It's textured and has sand in between the 'bricks' which makes it look really quite real! I wanted something more realistic than normal brick paper, but didn't think I was quite up to the challenge of using brick-slips (being a first-timer) so this seemed like a good compromise. Then I've used textured 'stone' paint on the upper floor. I like that it's quite tactile as well as looking good.

It's a great idea with the wartime theme. I hope to see more pictures from your house building, as it evolves...
