Default Wooden spiral staircase

Hi there, I'm customising a dolls house that I bought recently and want to add a wooden spiral staircase going from one of the attic rooms up to the flat roof (coming up in to a summer house that I've sited up there), so I can convert the flat roof in to a roof garden. I cannot find anywhere that sells wooden spiral stairs. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Also, if you have fitted a spiral stair in to a dolls house before, could you tell me how to measure the cut-out that I need for the stairs to rise in to? I'm guessing it needs to be larger than simply the circumference of the stairs themselves.

Hope someone can help. This is my first venture in to 12th scale DIY and I'm worried I cut totally the wrong size of hole in the roof of my dolls house

Hi and welcome

I found to a link who sells a wooden staircase:
Dolls House Furniture and Accessories From Minimum World
and one who sells a design-plan:
http://www.alwayshobbies.com/Store/Dolls-Houses/1$112-Scale/Mouldings-and-Stairs/Two-Staircase-Design-Plan
(Don't know how good )

Just a few days ago I bought a book by Beryl Armstrong "How t Make your Dolls' House Special" (~£8.50) and there is a real good describtion in it how to DIY. If you like a copy of the two pages, PM me

Hi, I got a wooden spiral staircase from Miniature Scene of York (sorry, don't know how to add a link, but it comes up on Google) for about £13.00. You'll have to stick it together, but it's very realistic.
Hope it helps

Default Thanks to all who replied

Really looking for wooden spiral staircases, as opposed to metal and have now got a link to a site with a variety.

Thanks for all the replies.
