I have just put together my first house and I have a few ideas but I do not know where to start exactly?
and I'm not sure what house I have? I am trying to upload pictures but it keeps saying connection lost or something? ![]() But as soon as I can I will! Shall I get my light now if I know what I want and if so how do i put them in shall I drill a little whole in the floor above and have the wire under the floor above or have the wire trailing on the ceiling? I have already go some floor boards on the way and as soon as I get paid I'm getting skirting board (Just getting bits together). cheers

Hi Phiadopalopadus (great name!)
![]() Hmm, that's not easy when we don't know what type of house you have? Does it only open in the front? Anyway, it's very common to drill a hole in the ceiling/floor of the upstairs and also cut a line in the floor to the wire and then add it to the electricity system at the back og the house. In my blog you can see how I wired my dolls house (though not how the wires runs through the house). - And I know a lot of others use a plug system instead of the soldering type I use. - That's up to you! ![]() I hope some one can give you a better advice than me, so you can begin. - By the way, it's best to plan your lighting of a dolls house before assembling the house! - Vicky.

Hi Phia
Alright I just checked out your dolls house on FB and I think you can "easily" add lamps to it. Drill little holes in the middle of the rooms and some how, cut a straight line deep enough to held a wire for the lamp, towards the back of the house. ![]() What tools you must use, I can't tell you, since the house is already assembled, but they of course needs to be small... Perhaps someone in here can recommend something for you? And I also think you can go ahead and buy the lamps you wish - and not just ceiling lamps ![]() - vicky.

I just clicked your link and found I can see your pics without joining facebook
![]() If you used wall lights on the back walls, lighting would be really easy and would look lovely as well. I am currently working out lighting and you need to have an idea of where you want your furnishings, so that is something to think about as well
