That looks lovely - thanks for posting the pics. Your mum obviously had a good eye for detail. Haven't you considered keeping it as WM suggests?

Default Doll's house museum

I would ...but I have no space and I am sure she would like some other people to see and appreciate it.

The detail is the most amazing thing!
She made everything and thought about the people who would have that extra look!

So there are hand made tiny spills to light the fire!

All the beds are made with bedding mattresses and even springs on the metal frame bedsteads! .......and all the figures are wearing 'knickers'!

Even the children's pull along toys have revolving wheels.

She really loved doing this and for a while sold her work In USA. Making the figures and the doll's houses was her real joy!

Hi Christine B i can see the work thats gone into it just by those few pictures you have shown us, and yes i agree it is museum quality, its beautiful, just a shame to let it go, thats just me though. Can understand what your saying though good luck hope it goes to some where, where lots of people will admire it for the future x

Default Dolls House Musuem

Just found this thread whiel researching soemthing - The V&A Museum of Childhood is no longer taking donation to add to its collection. They have run out of space

Well what a lovely house and figures what a clever mum you had donnt think I could part with it but if you havent the space think it nice that you are trying to find somewere for it so other people can enjoy it. christine
