To marry up with the thread on favourite dolls' house shops, this one is to discuss your trips to dolls' house fairs and all the treats and bargains you were able to find.

Just to remind you all there is a new Fair being Held at Elsecar Heritage (Just south of Barnsley, off the M1) on Sunday 15th February.

Does anyone know of any dolls house fairs that take place in the USA. I have recently moved to Texas and have, this Christmas, purchased a Wentworth Dolls House. I have three daugters between ages 7-13 and we thought that a little bit of English heritage was a must in our home. From what I am finding here in Texas "miniatures" is an expensive hobby especially if it has anything "English" attached to it. I wondered if anyone knew of any USA blogs, forums etc that we could hook up with. Thanks. Ronni

You tend to find that Dollshouses are called Dollhouses or just miniatures in the states.

Hi Ronnie,

There's a very well established miniatures group in the USA called NAME - National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts who hold all sorts of events and get togethers and I'm sure they'd be able to help you find more fairs over there.

20p to£200 items, sorry no tat sold. All 80% hand made no imported rubbish.
All sellers are registered with the organizer.
Donation to International sightseers.
Some displayers travel far, leaving their homes around 3am.
Please support, very friendly/chatty exhibitors.

My sister lives in Swindon, what a pity I won't be able to get down to see her. However I will be going to the Brentwood Fair in Altrincham, Cheshire this Sunday 1st Feb.
