I don't enjoy the building bit either.........I have 5 dolls now so will be buying them new clothes and stuff.....and later will get some new dolls house furniture. When I first built this house I couldn't wait to fill it with nice furniture, but now I have my doll hobby as well I'm going to take my time re stocking my house, and think I will enjoy it better at a slower pace.

ebay is really fickle I have found. You can list an item one week and nothing, then relist and end up with a bidding war! This time of year, people are probably stressing over their Christmas credit card bills. It was meant to be anyway.
Yes I'm content now with only one dolls house as I have my other hobby to distract me.

Hi I was not that bothered about Mountfield when I first saw it , was not a house that came first on my list. But since then have seen what people have created with it it has grown on me and I now like it a lot.
So although it did not sell think in time you will be pleased you still have it.
There is no rush to furnish it just think of the property as a long term project.

I also thought, why should I sell my house after all the time and effort it took me to build, decorate and light it!.....the lights were a pain to do and the stairs were fiddly too.....if I had sold it I might have wanted it again one day and the thought of building it again doesn't appeal to me one bit!
Not only that but it takes over my kitchen when I'm building a house and everyone complains cos they can't use the kitchen table...

I love building houses from kit form but i do agree Mountfield is a bit fiddly but there again i love a challenge and i am really enjoying it. It will be well worth it when it is finished. I have been doing this for almost a year now and still haven't got the roof on!!

Michelle i got the roof put together but I've not fixed it on yet...at the moment I'm having trouble with the attic floor/ceilings piece (part 13) and it's a good job I hadn't actually glued the roof down. All my ceilings were 'drooping'. It appears that the attic floor/ceilings (part 13) started breaking away as it's made up of layers of mdf and the part of mdf which is the ceiling had started to come away and so I've had to get a new one from DHE. Got it all to paint again and re-do my lighting in the upper floor I'm also not sure whether to glue the roof down entirely and not have access to the loft space as my fibreglass roof tiles are getting damaged with accessing the loft space area through the removable panel.

Oh dear Kath, that's not good .....I also know what you mean about the roof panel as the paper I put on is coming off cause I have opened that roof panel alot..... it is a bad design.....if you glue it down how will you get to the wires for the lights if you ever need to?
