i have to recommend this book, whilst i have yet to try the techniques described i have read it from cover to cover twice anld think it gives a very good insight to doll sculpting. it is an art that needs a lot of practise though.
first book in list by James Carrington Minidolls.com - Books should you wish to make dolls from moulds then there are a few online shops that sell the moulds too.

there are cheap moulds out there, it all depends what you wish to pay. you can buy cheap dolls and make a mould from them. one member from a long time ago used to use cheap ornaments found in second hand shops and make silicon moulds from them. sometimes just using their hands, or faces etc

HI teddy if you go to UTube there are doll making vids on there. Not sure if they are what you are looking for.
James Carrington Making 1/12 scale Figures for DH's is an excellent book. I have often thought of having a go but am not brave enough. ![]() Tc carol

I can't remember the book name sorry (it was a library book) but Christiane Berridge has a book out about making miniatures in which she includes doll making from fimo. They are more caricatures of people rather than being beautiful imitation people, but they burst with life and character!
