Default How to make a lovely tiered cake stand

PLEASE NOTE THIS IDEA WAS ORIGINALLY IN A DH MAGAZINE, IT IS NOT MY DESIGN OR IDEA I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS A NICE SIMPLE IDEA AND VERY EASY TO MAKE.

To make a 2 tiered cake stand you need-
1 Large plate
1 Smaller Plate
1 Tall Bead
1 Shorter Bead
1 piece of dh cutlery.

1. Its very simple you basically get the large plate(the base) and glue the tall bead to it upright. Leave this to dry.
2. You then glue the smaller plate(2nd tier) to the top of the tall bead creating 2 tiers.
3. Glue the smaller bead to the smaller plate at the top.
4. Cut the end off a piece of dh cutlery leaving a wide handle like piece.
5. Glue this into the smaller bead to create a handle.

And there you have it a very simple layered cake stand that anyone can make. Either buy or make some little cakes and it makes the perfect piece for an afternoon tea table.
Photos to follow as my cameras batteries are flat.

Thanks Shelagh and yes you should definitely try it, it is really easy. Am charging my camera batteries now so should be able to post photos of the finished product tomorrow.
I like the fact that you can use any spare plates you may have laying around left over from a set or whatever.

Sorry for the wait on the pics. I hope the instructions are clear, otherwise you can see them in Dolls House and Miniature Scene Mag March 10 issue.
