Hiya Tony,
I have a 100 watt daylight bulb in my study and hobby room, I also use a desk lamp with a 60 watt daylight bulb in too. I use to have to use a magnifier too but when I went to have my eyes tested it was buy one get one free with the glasses. So I decided to have my usual verifocals (spelling) and a second pair were made for extra close up work, very useful and much better than working with a magnifier!! |

I bought one secondhand some time ago, have to say I`ve not used it much as yet but did notice the bulb gets quite warm and dried the paint very fast on the item I was working on. I would get one on a stand as mine has to be screwed to the table ( so lots of padding needed to avoid damage to my kitchen table).

I haven't got a magnifier, but I find just the lamp makes a big difference...when I remember to use it.
