Hi im sunset, real name is claire

Im going to use this thread to share my pictures and my journey, im going to transforming Wentworth Court into 48 The Laurels, by giving it my own personal touch.

Back in january i ordered a copy of DHE catalogue, with in a couple of days the catalogue dropped through the my letter box, When i got home from work i cooked dinner,washed the pots then made a cup of coffee i opened the catalogue up and was so excited.

As soon as i saw Wentworth Court i fell in love with the style of the house, but there was something about it that just didn't seem to be me, So i looked on more, and again another house spoke to me that was Montgomery Hall I loved the way the brick work looked so clean and fresh against the white. But again it just didn't seem to be me.

So my husband had this great idea to buy Wentworth Court but as an unpainted kit(which at the time had a free basement kit) and to do the exterior like Montgomery Hall, so that is what i did.

Tomorrow holds a day of installing stair carpet and stair rods, got some great advice yesterday so tomorrow i am going to give it a go, and also going to lay the tiles in the kitchen which should be fun.

Yes someone at work as three and she always was talking about her's, then when mine came in Jan, she took me on a trip to DHE and now we try and get there once a month to by little bits , it's a great day out but i never want to go home.

Well hi all got some more photos of the work i have done hope you all enjoy.

Started my day off today by popping along to wilko's to buy some double sided tape and some pva glue, when i got home i was really looking forward to getting started.

I started by cutting my redwood flooring so it would fit each step then i glued it all down, (wish i hadn't already glued the stairs in would have been much quicker) , i then let it dry. Then backed my stair runner with double sided tape and attached it to each step at a time starting at the top working my way to the bottom.

I'm very happy with the out come , just got to face the stair rods now
