Love the fireplaces - is the one in the drawing room the one that was too big? - if so you have done a very good job. Well done.

It is indeed the same one. I spent hours sawing and sanding and I eventually forced it to fit with only 1 very minor breakage

You wouldn't tell it had been altered! Well done.

One of the early photos just looks like a big old room waiting for the new owners to move in. They all look realistic, but that one feels realistic too, like you could hear feet echoing as you come in. I love the floorboards!

Lovely work, that fire place in the drawing room is gorgeous and I like the matching cornice too and the flooring sets it all of beautifully, did you do all the gold trim yourself? I like the colours of your dining room too and the stags head fits a treat, well done!

You made a good job of altering the fireplace.

Any luck with roof tiles yet?

Thanks. The gold on the fireplace and overmantle were done by Sue Cook (very nice lady, happy to do commissions) and I did the gold on the coving. It's the small leaf plaster coving that you can get in most miniature shops, which I just picked out with gold acrylic and a very small brush (plus patience )

Thank you....the errors are there if you look closely...nothing a well placed pair of staffordshire dogs can't fix though, hehehe.

I think I am going to use these tiles for the roof:
RS8013SL - Versi-Slate Roofing Tiles (Pk250)

I haven't bought them yet though, the roof will have to wait a while. I wanted to get the basement rooms done this visit and the roof, but couldn't get the materials delivered in time before I had to trot off back to Hull and leave my doll's house behind

Hi, I love the rooms you have created in your house - they are simply stunning. The detail is fantastic and the stag's head is perfect. Can't wait to see more photos as you progress. Brilliant Best wishes, Karen.
