thanks everyone,

its definatly getting there, the flooring fitters were in this evening

the kitchen and study layout will change slightly once the family can move into the main house.

Dolly, he has special needs, mobility problems in particuler so snow and ice are his worst enemy! much happier today being towed around on a tea tray.

Hi Julie, your house looks great - well done and the kitchen is very big!

You also look very happy in the snow!

thanks everyone,

the kitchen is huge! i was working on the theory that if the daddy is working from home they would probably spend a fair amount of time in the kitchen/family room.

Eventually there will be a comfy chair or two in there along with playpen and box of toys for simon , and a pram if i can source a modern one i like.

its definatly a work in progress.

hi all,

just a little update on the house,

I am pretty much as far as i can get until the weather improves and dh can get outside to spray the stairs/banisters/doors.

once they are done i have to paper the walls with doors in them, paint/paper ceilings and finish fitting carpets.

then assemble and attach the front of the house and roof.

I have got basic furniture for everyroom except the attic bathroom and one or two accessories.

once the main work is finished i am going to save up for lighting and all the little accessories that make it look good.

can anyone reccomend any good sites for modern accessories?

work is definatly going to slow down now due to having spent most of my birthday and xmas money so its saving time again!

Modern accessorires try:
DHE
Elf Miniatures
Delph Miniatures
The House That Jacq Built
Platts Mini Packages
Willowcat
Minimum World

Lots of sites do do modern things now, it's a case of searching around them all to find the things you want.
