Thanks everyone! I'm trying to be patient but I'm not very good at waiting for things.

I'm collecting lots of ideas (especially of things I need to buy!) but I'm sure they will all change once I get and build the house. I'll be sure to keep you all informed of progress, and probably with lots of questions too!

Hi MC Warm welcome to you. And congrats on the purchase of you new property.
If you go to Home Sweet Home you will see lots of pics of forum members houses, plus of course there is always their albums found in their profiles.

Thanks again for all the welcomes. I've looked through the Home Sweet Home thread and some of the profile photos. There are some great houses out there and some very talented people! I may be borrowing a few ideas.

Preston Manor arrived on Thursday (hooray!) so I've been busy starting to assemble it. I'll add some photos to my profile (if I can work out how!!). The rooms seem much bigger than I thought but I'm sure I'll be able to fill them over time.

Off to paint some more window frames now...

I'm taking a bit of a break from windows - there are so many of the darn things!!

I've started to decorate what will be the drawing room. I'll see if I can post some photos when I've finished.
