Talking classical dolls house

hi! im Sarah. Ive owned a dolls house for 3 years, I think it is now since my mom bought me the classical dolls house.. only cause grosvenor hall is too expensive.. It took us ages to build the house and the basement.. and I was wondering if anybody knew any good glue to use, as some of the outside walls of the basement refuse to stay on and is it possible to buy the lighting sets on their own??

hi and welcome, wood glue would be best, however if you have glued before and it came apart i would recommend a light sand of the old glue to try and remove some of it, but be careful not to sand off too much

I too would sand off the old glue first but as said be careful not to sand too much, try using masking tape to hold the pieces together over night, that may help if contact isn’t too good.

Yes you can get the lighting sets, Go onto the DHE web site and search ‘the classical dolls house lighting’ and it should show you the different types!

Hi Sarah welcome...Im new too...youll find it helpful on here tho. Masking tape helps my house was covered in it and we left it a good 48 hours. Think we just used wood glue. Keep us posted on your progress!!!

Hi Sarah... welcome to the forum.... as others have said, lightly sand off old glue and try again with wood glue... also I used soft bungy straps instead of masking tape to hold my house together.. much stronger though be careful not to rub them along decorated walls etc.
