Default Whoooo

Hello my name is Sophia and I have wanted a doll house since I can remember but not any dolls house not something brought from Argos LOL, a nice and big 1, and only just recently I have got 1, I have already put it together and the stairs are in doors and front are on, I just need help with ideas, decorating, and wiring?

I am so impatient but I want it to look so well done and not just like a put together flat pack I want to make it special with the finest of details and add the littlest things just to make it that much better.
I am that impatient and have not been able to start a thread after signing up to this site for 2 days and have been going insane LOL

I have just recently brought some floor boards off eBay, and I am waiting for more fund to go into my account before I can buy skirting boards, and that's about it for now, I'm stuck on where to start and what to get? Any ideas please

hi and welcome to the forums

which house do you have and do you have a particular period/era/theme in mind for the house or did you just want to buy what you like?

i would say that is is best to look at photo's/pictures/real houses and pick details that you like then try to find that particular item for your dolls house, or perhaps make your own. failing that you can always ask here if there is anything you cannot find yourself

Im not too sure what house it is? I am just resizing and uploading some pictures of it so if anyone knows?

I want to go modern inside but keep it 1930's outside, and have 1930 features like an old fireplace and have the loft look like a loft and and storage room, so have a christmas tree up there and some little boxes and suit cases as you do LOL

Hi Sophia and welcome to the forum.

Regarding the style of the house you've bought, it's not a particular style, but some kind of "mixture" between american/european Victorian style and a bit of romantic touch.

All though it have details reminding of real houses, it really isn't a specific architectural style. I think the designer has tried to put together the idea of "little girls dream dolls houses.

But the most important thing is of course, that you love the house and the style of it.

- Hope you will enjoy many happy hours of dollshousing!

Kind regards, Vicky.
