love the house it looks very grand
as for hiding wires, i would go with the idea of the beams or you could use embossed wallpaper for ceiling decorations like some of our members have done on here. that was if u use a large enough one and run the wire through to there rear of the house it should be almost unnoticable. hope you can find a solution you are happy with

I would have a look at some of the heavy embosed paper as suggested... the beams are a good idea if they suit the period of house you are doing... my next option would be to stick with wall lights.

I am happy that I joined this forum! I started building my dolls house without any experience and through your help and your suggestions I'm gaining a lot of useful information!
To Micki: the solution with the beams is unfortunately not in harmony with the style of the house, while the polyfilla would be fine. To Dolly Donut: the idea of embossed wallpaper sounds interesting. I wonder if I can find it here in Italy. To DeeGee: the option of the wall lights is good, but in this case I should change the lighting... and I already have all chandeliers for every room!! I heard that there are lighting systems that have instead of wires tapes that conduct electricity and which are invisible under the wallpapers. Have you any experience with that? It could be a solution for eventually a new dolls house... Thanks to all of you.... |
