Talking Oh damn I'm doing it again.....eek!!!

Hello all is this the mini asylum? I certainly hope so as it is the place I need to be I just can't stop changing my mind all the time about my projects!!
And I don't just mean a little detail here and there I mean changing the whole theme of a project...I'll never finish a house at this rate!!

Right I have a castle in the making, 'the country store' by DHE and a Robin Hood waiting for a treehouse.
Now the castle was going to be an enchanted castle pub full of magical folk (probably coloured purple and liac), the country store was to be a modern family home and Robin's treehouse would be built from scratch at a later date......sound good??

After watching many episodes of Merlin over and over I have fallen for the magic and Prince Arthur which somehow set my crazy mind off thinking again taking me away from my original thoughts
I'm now thinking make a traditional castle....Camelot! Home to Prince Arthur and his buddy Merlin. Turn the country store house into the enchanted pub and forget about the modern family home........Robin still to get his treehouse later. Now how does that sound??

I'm now torn between the orginal plan and the new plan eek!! Why do I let myself think!?!?..it's sooo dangerous!!

Advice or just any general 'your mad' comments most welcome

''your mad'' but don't panic, it is a requirement of a miniaturist . changing your mind is also allowed and expected. again, don't panic , i would suggest you work on furniture or accessories, clothing etc until your decision is made. all your ideas are great so i cannot sway you either way. hope you don't have to agonise over the choices for too long

I have these same dilemmas going on here too....so no good advice, just more miniature musings I have a Sid Cooke shop which was to be a general store which is now going to be a tea room and a corner shop which was going to be a tea room turning into a toyshop. Not to mention a Gatehouse which was going to be a church type building now not so sure....Nothing really adventurous or imaginitive like you but hey things could change....

Thinking about so many things drowns your thoughts, I get that. Target one of them, think and work on that one only and store the others for a later time would be my advice!

I write down all my ideas in a book and try and work through them one at once (or sometimes two at once). The trick is to pick one and concentraite on it while all the other ideas stew away in the back of your brain for later. I usually find that the longer an idea kicks around before being made 'real', the better the final result. I'd reccommend going with whichever idea is most complete in your mind at the moment, that way you can fill in the gaps in your other plans while you work on that one.

HI Take one property make up your mind and aim for it. If another idea sneaks into your thoughts while on the same dolls house decide it it would work on another house NOT the present one
I must admit to changing my mind a lot at first then channeled everything into one aim. Cos like you I would never have got it finished and I have enough unfinished items around the house real
They say it takes one to know one so as we all recognise your shall we say "indecisions " I will say no more

Ok decision made!

I have decided I would like a modern home in the 'DHE country store' and my castle will be an enchanted one full of magic.
Just have to decide on the colour now for the castle...I have a tin of cream, a tin of lilac, a tin of purple, a small tube of dark green and a small tube of grey (there is not enough grey to paint the walls.)

I am going to use a realistic brick compound and stencil on the walls, the compound is white, I can leave it white or mix it in with one of the colours above, I need to decide on the colour for the compound and the colour of the spacing inbetween. I would also need a colour for the roof of the tower and the window.......opinions please!!
