Even though I have my long wished for house, I still find myself taking sneaky peeks at Fairbanks

Smile Fairbanks Feedback

Thanks for your feedback on Fairbanks Melanie. Your comments on a more modest sized house for this period have been noted and I will have my product development team look at the project as part of their development work for next summer.

Thanks again for taking the time to talk to us.

Kind regards,

Ashley

Hello all this is my first post. My first house was built by my dad from scratch my 2 sisters and I all had them for Christmas a terrace of 3. I was so jealous of my eldest sister as she owned the middle one and it was much larger than the end of terraces. He made all the furniture and equipment himself crital windows as well as the tiny cutlery and pans(he was and engineer) and painted them realistic. I remember him going ballistic when my mum gave the larger one to the church fête to raffle, as my sister had discovered boys! When we got the the fête someone in there wisdom had painted it white with a red roof. My dad still goes on about it fifty years later.
I now own three houses and now I'm working on a replica of the pub I work in, in Hampshire. Why are glasses so expensive? I'm just about to have a go at making shelves of glasses out of resin!! wish me luck.

You are very welcome.

I do adore the sizings of Fairbanks, it is undoubtably my absolute favourite house and impressive when it comes to the room sizes. It is without a doubt a real treat for those with room to place it but living in a cottage as I do, I've had to compromise on the size of house I can take on, so something of the Fairbanks standard but smaller would be just wonderful.

I have seen other inter-war houses but they are nothing in comparison and just don't reach that standard. In fact they look rather cheap in comparison.

Default My first house.

My first house was a plastic one made by Fisher Price, I remember spending hours just putting the car into the garage, opening the front door and ringing the working door bell!

In fact because of my happy memories, when I had my daughter a year ago, I started looking at childrens houses, that led me to DHE junior collection and then onto Cumberland Castle for myself.

My daughter has to wait a couple more years before she can have her own house, in the meantime even Grandma now has her own couple of houses and between us we're turning into miniature property tycoons!

My first dollshouse was a bungalow back in the 70's. I can also remember the lady coming to collect it when my mum and dad decided I was too old for it and it was sold to pay for my sister's Lundby House. I think that's why I'm so obsessed with dollshouses now
