Default Help with garden! Please!xx

I am currently making a pet shop and I want to put a roof garden on it but don't know how to make flower borders/trees/bushes, anything really to make it wow! I have searched the interent and can see lots of different gardens but very little tutorials on how to do it! I have grass and soil and lots of loose plants but don't know how to add them. Can anyone help?xx

...i don't know anything about gardening, but you can get inspiration from looking at the images on web and saving them in a folder.....i like to use sandpaper to look like gravel....stones for the rockeries or boulders...bq sell great 12''square tiles for less than 3 that you can hammer to make dry stone walls etc.......railway foliage, trees and plants are always useful,i put my grass onto cardboard.....if you have 1 garden space make a stencil and put a snow effect on another piece of card...you can swap it with the seasons,i painted some fishtank filters green and they made great hegding!..i am now using viennetta ice-cream trays to make a garden with...make thyem detatchable and put away til you want to use it again....kebab sticks look great painted black, gold or chrome to make as 'metal' fencing you can use cardboard strips or balsa wood to keep them in place or poke them into a clay wall to keep them secure..lolly sticks are great too for picket fencing, das and other air drying clays are great to make walls with, aquarium shops sell great ornaments that will fit in mini gardens and the 1 shps sell plastic plants that you use for bushes, use the mini sauce cups/tubs for patio tubs and also the tiny shot cups.

There are a few books. Found these two "The Dolls' House Gardener: Featuring 8 Garden Designs in 1/12 Scale" by Lionel Barnard and "Making Miniature Gardens" by Freifda Gray. I haven' read them though.
