Default slate pieces.....

i bought a big bag ofslate that you put in your gardens to tidy them up a bit......i was looking at it the other day and decided to take some off and i will cover a mini inside wall with it(it will go in my hacienda(the barn) along a false wall then i will make a fireplace with the rest of it...i'm also planning to put it around an archway inside the house......there are very flat pieces so they might do well as flooring..inside or maybe a patio...the bag cost less than 7 from the garden dept of BQ or HOMEBASE............also great for rockery around the mini ponds..... ..i have sorted them out into 3 thicknesses...large,thick and the small fine ones for around arches and sticking on a wall, will use filler or no more nails to fix/grout it with......

I bought some slate for around a fish pond and thought I could do something with the smaller pieces but never did. I have an idea though.....

...use wet wipes to clean off excess filler...i will do the other side too, then cut out a wall for downstairs that will have a semi circle hatch and sil i will do bth side again then make a fireplace for the oppsite wall with the slate pieces.....

i used a bookcase back panel to make the dividing wall but if you have none go to a charity shop and get a picture with a sturdy back....or hardboard.......a stanley knofe will work i had to score it about 5 times b4 it would come off......
