Ivy punched leaves........

....folded some paper over and punched 2 leaves out at a time....put some cellotape onto the edge of a rular then stuck the leaves to them..don't stick too much of the stem in case you lose too much of it....i then got a paintbrush packet and blotted the paint over the leaf and plastic, this way the cellotape did not stick to it and ruin the job....painted both sides..hopefully the gloss will make the leaf stiffer ......:confused:.......i cut out 588....did'nt seem that many,and you have stencils to use on your other items!!!:)

What a lot you've made Su. I'm looking forward to seeing it as a vine, are you going to stick them to wires.

HERE ARE A FEW TRIALS............................OR ERRORS!:eek::cool:

I used UHU glue first,then PVA for the 2nd...i prefered the uhu so i started to make some trailing ivy....i didn't think it would stick but if you leave it a bit then go back to it with tweezers or pinch the leaves in place again they stuck well......not sure if they will be permanent we shall see....the main reason i cut them out was to put them on a flat surface to make an ivy walled garden......and an archway covered in ivy............i have bought some polymer clay ivy from fairs and they look FAB...also some material ones on long wire(1 a yard or 30'' years ago........this will keep the price down...the paper is cheap printing paper from staples,the paint was 1 a tin :D
