Default new Shed ...... help please

Hi everyone

I bought hubby a 1:12 shed kit for Christmas, since we had finished The Gallery he has been thinking about another project, so I thought this would be fun.....

He wants to shiplap board it but we had a google yesterday and couldn't find out any info, anyone have any ideas on where we can buy strips of miniature shiplap cladding ..... or do you use something else to create this effect for the exterior?

Look forward to hearing your advice.

Hope you all had a good Christmas

Hazel

People have used lollipop sticks before on cabin style houses so you might be able to use that and some balsa wood. Hobby Craft have some lollipop sticks and they are about 1.50 for a bag. (be careful about getting them online though because all the places I've bought them from online have sent me the smaller ones instead of the big ones so I've had to use them on different projects. (annoying, that).

Or tongue depressors (?) - the thing doctors use - I get a box of 100 pieces for about 2 at the pharmacy (yep much cheaper than hobby store ) you may try a drugstore for them?
I used them for flooring as well as ceilings (have a look at my African View).
The only problem might be that they aren't long enough to cover the length of a whole wall

The lollipop sticks you can get from Hobby Craft have about 100 sticks in them, so they aren't that much more expensive and I would much rather support a hobby shop because in this economic climate a lot of them will go out of business if we don't support them and then where would we get our hobby supplies from?

If you get about the same amount of sticks for them... yes I'll always support the hobby shop.
But at my hobby shop I get 25 tongue depressors for almost double the price (and they are absolutely the same as I get at the pharmacy).
And talking about the economic climate: it also applies for a lot of the customers

Lots of US seller sell this but they call it siding. Greenleaf dollshouses sell it in packets of single boards or sheets. There are a few sellers on ebay too but all in US I think.

I tried every chemist in our local area, and a few far away (as we don't have any hobby shops for 30 miles) and none sold tongue depressors so I bought some on line and they were fine.

What about coffee stirrers that you get in coffee shops.
